It's a sousaphone bell, from Flickr, taken by peterhoneyman in Ann Arbor on October 7, 2007. I like instruments (I'm a band director), I like U of M (they did, after all, give me two degrees), plus the picture reminds me of the Jelly Bean in Chicago's Millenium Park (meaning, it's fun).

I love the picture! I went to Chicago this August and took some great pictures of the jelly bean! That's what I thought about before I even read your comments!
